A Gustav Becker three quarter chiming clock prior to stripdown. This clock is of the Medaille D’Or type. A mass produced German 1920s wall clock of good quality with a deadbeat escapement. Serial numbers of these clocks can easily be traced.

A longcase clock painted dial. Clock maker William Burton born in Skipton was the first of a well regarded clockmaking family. The Burton workshop premises were at Finkle Street in Kendal Cumria in the 1760s.

Longcase clock movement 1770s

A longcase clock movement with the front motion work being removed. The dial of this clock has the word Dalkeith engraved on the back. It could have been made by Mr Robert Welsh of Edinburgh. I would imagine in the 1770s.

Mechanism from glass cased French clock with mercury pendulum

A glass cased French clock with a mercury pendulum. The customer says that this clock was hidden in a well in Norway during the Nazi occupation.
