West London. Full restorations, repairs and servicing of pocket watches and antique clocks
We carry out a wide range of antique clock repairs and restorations.
Longcase –Grandfather clocks, Vienna wall clocks, Fussee wall clocks, French clocks, Bracket clocks.
We are one of the few workshops in London able to service and restore antique electric clocks.
Synchronious clocks, Smiths sectric clocks, Synchronome clocks, French Bulle clocks
The above is a weight driven Frieburg Vienna wall clock movement with strike. The hour wheel and minute wheel can be seen as well as the star wheel and snail.
The movement has been cleaned, polished and restored at A.B. Wright.
We understand the value and sentimental value that can be placed on watches and clocks especially when they have been owned by a family for many years or even many generations. Extreme care is applied to all stages of the works carried out. The process can very briefly be described as assess for originality, identify any faults, stripdown, clean and polish, order or make new parts, carry out repairs, reassemble and put on test.
For estimate purposes photographs of clocks can be emailed to nick.abwright@gmail.com
All clocks repaired by us are tested in the workshop for an appropriate period. For example an eight day clock would be regulated and tested for two weeks.
All finished clocks are delivered back to the customer and set up. Fully restored clocks are guaranteed for five years.
It is possible to send photos and videos to your email address of works being carried out.
